Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was 19 years old and received the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. Krauss's third album, I've Got That Old Feeling received the accolade even though she was only 19 years young. Her debut album, Too Late to Cry, was released when the Champaign, Illinois, native was 16years old. She had signed a contract with Rounder Records, which is among the most revered folk music labels on the market--at the age of 14. Her accomplishments even at such a youthful age, as well as her ability to play the guitar, are consistently confirmed by the fact that she's maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of America's most enduring and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss was a mature music producer and musician, having developed from a teenage superstar.
